The Studio is a cultural work of art in itself.
This is where people showcase their artwork. All the art in the gallery will be for sale. The Studio gets a percentage of any art sold, as well as a small fee to have the art presented here. The fee is to cover costs, so if the art piece is not sold, the studio will still get paid.
There will be a trailer mount stage that unfolds in case it has to be moved for any reason. Musical, as well as other talents will showcase here. Tickets will be sold for each show. Videos and / or CD's will be made of each show, which will then be available in the shop to purchase. A percentage of this money goes to the artist and a percentage into the Studio.
Things made out of 100% hemp fibre. There will be clothes, towels, and dolls to start with. Everything will be made right there in the studio. We have an in house seamstress, so we can keep the cost down.
I myself, as well as my companion, are writers. My companion has published an ebook titled, 'Refuge'. It is a novel which you can find online under her name, Regina Jackson Stinnett. This 'Refuge' series will be a trilogy, which is in the works now. She has also begun a book titled, 'Remembering Georgia'. It's the story of Georgia Jackson, a girl who was sexually assaulted and murdered in the Aylmer Ontario area back in the mid sixties. Regina has recently connected to someone who knows the truth of what transpired. I have an ebook already published titled, 'A Twist in the Fate of Me'. It consists of pose and poetry which you can find online under my pen name RW Erskine. I am in the process of writing a book titled, 'The Book Of Remembering", and another titled, 'The Book Of Undoing'. These are spiritual books, but not in the religious sense.
The Studio will also include proof reading, editing, letters, manuscripts, ghost writing, scrips for plays, movies. We also offer Web site and video creating, advertising posters, pamphlets, flier designs, book and CD designs and covers as well.
This area will be for all the creations made for the Studio. Of course for staff and artists only. Perhaps at a later date it will include a teaching and learning area for those who wish to increase their skills or start from scratch.
Workers will be paid by commission. They can make as much as they are willing to work for, which will give them the incentive to be more productive.
The Studio will need to hire staff, therefore creating jobs.
Our vision at Ravenscraft Studios is much bigger, but the above outline gives you a general idea.
We already have its expansion in mind, which will be a work of art in itself.
Ravenscraft Studios will be a great resource for everyone, since everyone has talent of some sort. This will be a great place for the world to see the beauty of Canada and all its talent.
To be able to see the world through the eyes of an artist is to really see Life's true magic and wonders.
To us it's not about how much money you can put in your pocket. It's about how much you can do to make this a better place for everyone and everything.
